iDCS 100

The iDCS 100 is a digital ISDN compatible telephone system designed for small businesses. It can operate with the functionality of a square key system, PABX or a combination of both (hybrid). The iDCS 100 employs the very latest DSP (Digital Signal Processor) digital and Voice-Over Internet-Protocol (VOIP) technology.

All keysets utilize a single PCB with surface-mounted components assuring the highest product quality and long life. Samsung’s customary large, easy-to-read displays and LEDs in the button design make them much easier to use. In many instances, sophisticated features are made simple through the use of friendly display prompts or push-on/push-off feature keys.

The iDCS 100 comes with default data. This data provides for operation within seconds after applying power. All trunks and stations are assigned according to the default numbering plan. This numbering plan is flexible and may be changed if so desired. The technician customizes this default data to meet the end user’s requirements.

The system can be programmed from any display keyset without interrupting normal system operation. There are three levels of programming: TECHNICAL, CUSTOMER and STATION. The technician level has access to all programs and can allow the customer access to system programs as needed. Technician and customer access are controlled by different security passcodes.

iDCS 500 Release 2

The SAMSUNG iDCS 500 Release 2 (Digital Communications System) is a digital telephone system designed for small to medium-sized businesses. It can operate with the functionality of a square key system, PABX or a combination of both (hybrid). The DCS employs DSP (Digital Signal Processors) digital and Voice-Over Internet-Protocol (VOIP) technology.

Expanding the iDCS 500 Release 2 system is both economical and easy. Begin with a single cabinet configured as a basic Key Service Unit and them add up to two more cabinets as your business grows. Its low and medium density card design allows greater flexibility when configuring a system for the right combination of lines and stations. A removable software cartridge (SmartMedia card) makes it convenient to upgrade to future feature packages.

Voicemail Optons

The SVMi-8E is a self-contained plug in Voice Mail and Auto Attendant card for the iDCS 100 and iDCS 500. The SVMi-16E is a self-contained plug in Voice Mail and Auto Attendant card for the iDCS 500. They are designed to meet the demands of the sophisticated voice mail user without sacrificing simplicity.

The SVMi-8E / SVMi-16E may act as an Auto Attendant system only, a Voice Mail System only or both. Out of the box the SVMi-8E is equipped with 4 ports built onto the main PCB assembly and can handle 4 calls simultaneously. The SVMi-16E is equipped with 8 ports built onto the main PCB assembly and can handle 8 calls simultaneously. The SVMi-8E can be easily upgraded by adding a 4 port VPM to handle up to 8 calls simultaneously and the SVMi-16E can be easily upgraded by adding up to two 4 port VPMs to handle up to either 12 or 16 calls simultaneously.

At the time of this writing the Message Storage capacity, on either the SVMi-8E or the SVMi-16E is about 100 hours with a Hard Drive installed and 10 hours with Compact Flash installed on the SVMi-16E, although as time goes on, improvements in technology will allow for changes in storage time.
